Scholarship for Students

The Young India Fellowship 2011 

The Young India Fellowship (YIF) is a one year fully funded academic, multi-disciplinary learning and leadership development programme for 50 postgraduate students. The programme is offering students a chance to carve their own paths.

Financial support: Every one of the first batch of 50 Young India Fellows will receive a scholarship of Rs 8 lakh to cover the full cost of tuition, board and lodging. The programme will be housed in an educational campus in Gurgaon, near New Delhi.

Eligibility: The programme is open to final-year undergraduate students or graduates with less than two years of work experience. Applicants should be able to converse, read and write in English, which is the medium of instructions at the YIF programme.

Procedure: Applications are available online and should be completed and submitted by March 30, 2011. The application will also need to be supported by one recommendation from someone who knows you well in either an academic or professional capacity. Scholarships for Indian Students offered by University of Edinburgh 

 
The University of Edinburgh is offering 15 Masters degree scholarships for students from India for postgraduate study in any subject offered by the University for the 2011-2012 academic session.
Financial support: Each scholarship will have a value of around Rs 2.20 lakh each and will be tenable for one academic year. Preference will be given to candidates who have not already had the opportunity to study in Scotland.

Eligibility: Applicants must have, or expect to obtain, the overseas equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree. The scholarships will be awarded to students who have accepted admission for a Masters programme of study at the University.

Procedure: The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. A completed application form must be received by the University scholarships and student funding services by April 1, 2011.  KC Mahindra Scholarships for Indian Nationals

We tell you about the interest free loan scholarships offered by the KC Mahindra Education Trust to Indian nationals for post graduate studies abroad for the academic year 2011.
Financial support: The trust is giving three scholarships worth Rs 24 lakh, the maximum amount for each will be Rs 8 lakh and the minimum will be Rs 5 lakh per student.

Eligibility: Applicants must possess a first class degree or its equivalent from a recognised Indian university. They should have applied for admission in a foreign university.

Procedure: Completed application forms together with the necessary enclosures must reach the trust office in Mumbai before March 31, 2011. The final interviews will take place in July, 2011. For more information, log on to: www.nanhikali.org
